Westbourne Terrace Hotel, London

Westbourne Terrace
Westbourne Terrace

The Project involved a comprehensive renovation of the entire Grade II listed building, including the provision of new rooms and revised internal layouts, all while adhering to sustainability objectives. This called for close collaboration with the Client and the wider design team to deliver a coordinated scheme. Designed by Stamos Yeoh Architects, 100-102 Westbourne Terrace hotel updates this iconic 1840’s London building; creating an inner-city destination which boasts a new reception, 81 hotel rooms, a spa and gym, and functional meeting room space.

The project faced challenges in coordinating the structural, architectural, and building services design. The 1960’s rear extension made services distribution a challenge due to restrictive ceiling void depths and necessitated an ‘out of the box’ approach to services distribution design.

Highly efficient building services were proposed to meet the energy and sustainability targets. RIBA Stage 4 design information including drawings, specification and schedules of equipment associated with the Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health engineering services were produced. Meticulous and thorough coordination between all stakeholders ensured the success of this project.
